Christmas Pictures

Well I've been so busy. Christmas was WONDERFUL. We had such a great time. Santa Claus brought Elizabeth a kitchen and a stuffed dog (which she named Jordan). She was so excited Christmas morning. We got everything on video. Loved our day. We also had a great Christmas Eve at my in-laws. We started a new tradition for Christmas Eve - we went swimming! They just put in a hearter for the pool so it was fantastic. Since Christmas Eve we have been non stop! My sister Susan arrived from Las Vegas the day after Christmas and we ran her all around town. I miss her, but I'm so happy she is gone! Now we can get back to normal. I'm also happy to put all the Christmas decos away. I love the holidays, but I just want to get back to getting settled in the house and unpacking the rest of the boxes. I will post pictures from the outings with my sister in another post. Here are the pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Are We Home Yet?

Well we've been in the house for just about two months. I have to say I love it so much! It feels so good when I open up the door after being out. I love waking up here, I love cooking in my beautiful kitchen, I love playing with Elizabeth in her playroom and outside, I love everything about this house. I sometimes look around and think "is this really our house?", it is wonderful. It feels like home. Now, the only thing that feels strange is the city itself. Not in a bad way. It's a great city as are the cities that are around Boynton too. I'm just not at home yet when I'm out and about. It's a good feeling most of the time, almost like being on an adventure. I'm still learning the streets and the locations of restaurants and shops. I just don't have that sense of ownership that I felt in Pembroke Pines, Davie, Sunrise and Ft. Lauderdale. I know it will come in time, the streets will start to connect in my head, the layout of Publix will become like second nature to me, I will once again feel like I really know the pulse of the city. So I guess for now I will just enjoy the adventure, and give it some time to seep into my veins!

Very Hard

I have such a problem right now. I have a very dear friend who has kids that are ANIMALS! I know that is mean to say, but it's true. My friend has no clue about discipline. The problem I have is whenever we are out with her and her kids my daughter wants to follow her kids and act like them. Her kids don't sit down and eat nicely in a restaurant, they run around and climb on the chairs. They are basically horrible wherever they go. Today in the bookstore Elizabeth is chasing after them as they run around a stack of books acting like crazy nuts. I don't allow my daughter to behave this way. I'm sorry, but the bookstore is not a playground! I'm not saying I don't let Elizabeth have any fun, but I'm doing my very best to raise a little girl who will be kind, polite and considerate. Basically a nice person. I spent the entire time we were at the bookstore reprimanding my daughter. On the way home I felt horrible b/c all I did was get after her. I just feel it is so unfair to her to have to be exposed to this crap! When I take Elizabeth out with other friends kids she has such a good time, and non of this stuff goes on. When I leave most of our playdates with my friend I feel stressed out and annoyed. At this point I'm going to stop the playdates. I feel bad because this person is such a good friend, but Elizabeth means more to me. I don't want my daughter influenced by this garbage any longer. By the way what is with these people who just let their kids do whatever they want?????

Lots and Lots of Pictures!

We've been very busy Christmas elfs! Lots of fun. Here is my post along with pictures.

We went to a little Christmas party on Thursday at a place called Unique Kids Parties. They have a party for the kids for every holiday. It's a really cute place.

Tom and Elizabeth going to Build A Bear on Sunday morning. The bag is bigger than she is. I bought her Clarice (from Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer)during the week, and we went on Sunday to "bring her to life" Elizabeth was so cute doing all the little steps they have. She picked out underwear, and gave Clarice a bath and brushed her. She loved it! All the kids were whinning b/c Elizabeth had Clarice and they just had bears. Build A Bear ran out of the reindeer, and I was told by the manager during the week to by the reindeer then b/c by Sunday they would be all gone. So glad I did!
